So, I had over a week between finishing my exams and starting Uni again. So I booked loads of single tickets and set off round to visit some friends who don’t live in Newcastle.I just had a rucksack and my bike, and at 8:30am last Friday, I set off from Newcastle!

Arriving in Hastings. LONG train journey, the worst bit is between London and Hastings, it takes forever, or seemed like it!

H Man picked me up and we went to 4Down to hang out, and shoot a photo of Dean for an upcoming interview on Streetphire. It was really cool, those dudes rule, we were looked after. Plus I picked up some new Trinity forks to replace my two year old Odyssey race forks, which I’m pretty certain were bent.

4Down warehouse, I would have loved to do a supermarket sweep in here!

Then we headed over to Seventies so H could get back to work and I could ride the ramp. It’s bigger then you realise, and Baz Keep and Dan Lacey showed up and showed me up. After everyone clocked off Nikki rode it too, let me tell you that dude is insane, and so good on a bike. I had my jaw down for most of the session.

After that me and Nikki rode to the station, he went home to Nottingham and I went to Canterbury to see Liz.

We went to some houseparty, for Liz’s mates 21st. Pretty cool meeting all her work friends, and there were nibbles. Winner in my book.

This is Liz’s BMXer impression.

This is Liz kicking my ass on Mariocart on the Wii. Damn game, it makes people evil. I got quite verbally agressive and stressed out.

Next stop, London to hang out with Rob Loeber and grab pizza. He took me to some awesome Magma-esque bookstore first, then we went and grabbed Pizza.

I’ve blogged about this place before, it flat out rules. Best pizza in London? It’s a bold claim.

Huddersfield bound. By this point I’m sick of trains.

Time marches on

I arrived in Huddersfield the exact some time Scott and Jonny got back from a trip to Scotland to ride Ocean terminal and Unit 23. I heard that ocean terminal is amazing. I want to go badly. This weekend? Anyone?

Jonny, feeling ratty after the long drive. The gin fox didn’t help apparently.

I brought Scott some nice stickers from Seventies.

Huddersfield has just had a really sweet new park built, but the drainage sucks and it’s always wet. We went to check it out, it looks so good, I can’t wait to ride it in summer!

This is how stoked Scott was on the park being wet.

We headed to Huddersfield Uni to catch Scott’s housemates band play a gig as part of their Uni degree. It was really cool, quite psycadelic, with every rock’n'roll cliche thrown in, in a good way. It ruled!

Jonny managed ot climb into this space no problem, I just kept landing on my ass. The Scott one timed it, so I had to man up. Job done.

Next day, Manchester. With Sis, who is very good for somebody who has only been riding two months. His bike is stupidly dialled as well.

The skatepark had changed it’s opening times, but not updated it’s website. It was absolutely throwing it down in Manc, so we had two hours to kill before it opened. We just sat about in Night and Day cafe, wishing it would be warmer, and drinks were cheaper.

Yeah Sis

I love Manchester Central, it’s small and perfectly formed. I’ve never had a bad session there, and we always luck out and catch it when it’s empty.

Me? Wallride? That’s predictable.

Sis was stoked on this

Beautiful

These were way more clicked in my head

Over pedal slider thingy

Watching ‘Brighton Ain’t ready’, that video is so awesome.

Look at this fruit on the left. Big coat. Long wavy har, beret, stupid shiny pointy silver shoes. Who is he, Snoop Dogg? Freak.

I went home for two days to hang out with my cat and scoff free food. Good times. Thanks to everyone who gave me a place to stay!
