Whitley Bay Skatepark
July 31, 2008 · 4 Comments
Chris Lee, Pete Greaves and I went to check out the new skatepark at whitley bay today, and it’s awesome! great park, just a little slippy, and overrun with kids as it’s the school holidays. We went fairly early (11 am) so beat the crowds, but it was still fairly busy when we go there, then it queitend down, then got really busy so we called it a day, even though it rained soon after. One funny thing did happen though, even though it has nothing to do with the park, me and Chris went to get drinks from the local Pharmacy, and as I was closing the drinks fridge door (idealy situate next to the window) the top hinge came off and the door smacked into the window, cracking it quite badly, i.e. the whole window. Oops. I apologised and the guy said it wasn’t my fault. We paid up and left, but not before taking a photo. Me and Chris were trying really hard not to laugh, it was pretty funny. Check out some more photos from the park by hitting the link.

Our Freezer Sucks
July 30, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Our freezer pure sucks, it’s way too cold, while the fridge above it, is too warm, it basically a cuboard with a light on. Half the food was forzen in, like some sort of snow storm, so we excavated it out. Check out loads more pointless pictures by hitting the link.

Consequence Aside

August 16th sees Jim Newricks realisation of having a BMX art show in Newcastle becoming a reality. I helped him out with organising various degrees of it, and I applied my very small graphic design knowledge into making this poster for the event. It’s going ot be awesome, bring your own beer, bring an open mind and check back here soon for the after party details.

Noz’s Birthday BBQ
July 24, 2008 · 1 Comment
It was my housemate’s, and long term best friend Noz’s birthday yesterday and the scamp turned 20. In celebration we decided to have a chilled out BBQ in the front garden with the few people who are still kicking around Newcastle right now, Liz, Tom, Phil, Siobhan and Rachael are all away elsewhere abroad or back in York and were unable to make it. It was nice to have a realtivly quiet evening for once, and I got him a big fat cigar as a present! Perfect.
I also want to apologise to Prefab for being hella drunk everytime I see him. I’ve bumped into him twice in Cosmic Ballroom now and I’ve wanted to tell him that I appreciate him being a fan of my blog and that I thought ‘Enemy of Promise’ was dope, but it is usually just a slew of incomprehensible words. Sorry dude.
Anybody who is a fan of electronic music needs to get hold of the new Crookers EP ‘Mad Kidz’ which was released on Monday, it’s awesome. Liz and I are waiting for them to confirm playing Shoreditch in September so I can get that hotel and Mega Bus booked. Looking forward to that one. Me and Liz are also hopefully heading out to Paris to see the Bloody Beetroots at the end of August too, see how that pans out.
Also if you live in the Newcastle area keep the 16th August free, day and night time, stay tuned to this blog, and all the other Newcastle blogs to find out why. I’ll release the info on Friday!

Kitchen Fun
July 21, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Sometimes getting drunk in your kitchen with your friends is the best time ever. This happened over the weekend, and once again, I took some bad photos, I seriously need a better camera, I had to trash half the pictures because my camera refuses to focus! Dammit! H Man took the above pic, cheers man! More photos after the jump.
